Emergency Activation

R3EMCOMM hosts an Emergency Activation (EA) drill on the W4CUL repeater approximately every three months.

Any licensed amateur radio operator may activate an emergency net under the circumstances defined in the Emergency Activation (EA) protocol. Permission is not needed. Use your best judgment based on conditions, personal safety, the availability of power and other resources, and your ability to transmit. Participation is open to all amateur radio operators.

Nets shall run on the schedule listed below until such time as a net is no longer needed and/or at the discretion of Net Control (e.g., skipping the 2330-hour net, as well as the 0330-hour net, as per local needs and conditions) and all times are local.

Please send us an email if you would like more information about participating in the next Emergency Activation (EA) drill.
