Frequently Asked Questions

Culpeper, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock Counties are very fortunate to be represented by two organizations dedicated to amateur radio and the surrounding communities.

While the missions of R3EMCOMM and CARA (Culpeper Amateur Radio Association) are different, the fellowship, comradery, and learning opportunities that both provide are excellent. Many members of the ham radio community belong to both organizations in an effort to support education, training, and resources dedicated to amateur radio, such as access to the W4CUL repeaters on Gibson Mountain in Gordonsville, Virginia.
